MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Quantum Research Scientist to join our team in a remote role.
The Quantum Research Scientist will advance quantum information science and optical quantum systems, leveraging expertise in continuous-variable photonics and theoretical algorithm discovery to translate complex physical phenomena into experimental prototypes and publishable research.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting foundational and applied research to advance quantum information science, with a specialized focus on continuous-variable (CV) photonic quantum computing.
- Leading theoretical algorithm discovery, establishing novel qubit modalities, and engineering advanced error-correction schemes tailored for optical and photonic quantum systems.
- Prioritizing experimental physics integration within photonics modalities over alternative architectures.
- Translating complex mathematical models and quantum physical phenomena into experimental prototypes, technical specifications, and publishable findings.
- Collaborating closely with academic partners and cross-functional engineering teams to map cross-platform control policies to alternative modalities.
- Documenting research progress and disseminating findings through technical papers, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
